Apollo Setup
Apollo.io sends emails through your existing Google Workspace & Microsoft
365 accounts. Because of this, we just need to ensure SPF/DKIM are setup
correctly with Google Workspace & Microsoft 365.
Email Provider Setup
First ensure that SPF & DKIM are setup correctly with your email provider:
Setup DMARC
Verify you don't already have DMARC enabled, you can do this with the
Domain Check Tool.
If DMARC is already enabled, you're all done! Otherwise add the following
DNS record:
- Record Type
- TXT
- Host/Name
- _dmarc.yourdomain.com
- Value
- v=DMARC1; p=none; rua=mailto:you@yourdomain.com
- TTL
- 3600 seconds (1 hour)
Verification
Once setup, you can verify your SPF/DKIM/DMARC records are setup with the
domain check tool.
Verify DNS records
Apollo also has a verification tool under Sequence Diagnostics. It
currently recommends setting DMARC in quarantine mode without verification
which I would not recommend until you have verified all services are
properly authenticated.
